A 4-H participant washes her cow for the livestock exhibit.

See the top local animals in the livestock show, which features both a 4-H and open category. Beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep, swine and goats can be entered into the livestock show.

All entries must be in place by 11 a.m. Saturday, and judging begins at 1 p.m.

Pens are available for hogs and sheep; the animals may remain overnight.

Beef and dairy cattle may be left overnight in the barn as long as there is room. Owners are responsible for their animals. Straw must be pushed to the center of the barn by exhibitors after the show. There is no electricity available at the wash rack, and none is allowed at that site. Due care will be given to prevent accidents, but the association will not be responsible if any should occur.

Livestock are released at the end of the entire livestock show. An exhibitor cannot compete in both collection and class except as groups in Livestock departments. All prize premium checks must be cashed within 30 days.

For more information about rules and classes, see the Livestock & Exhibits Information PDF.
