Fair rules

Please abide by these rules if you plan to attend or participate in the fair.

  • All exhibits except stock will be received between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. THursday. Entries will be released 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

  • All hogs, sheep, goats and beef and dairy cattle in all classes must be in place by 11 a.m. Saturday. Judging at 1 p.m.

  • Pens are available for hogs and sheep; the animals may remain overnight. Beef and dairy cattle may be left overnight in the barn as long as there is room. Owners are responsible for their animals. Straw must be pushed to the center of the barn by exhibitors after the show.

  • There is no electricity available at the wash rack, and none is allowed at that site.

  • Due care will be given to prevent accidents, but the association will not be responsible if any should occur.

  • All exhibits will be on the fairgrounds.

  • All exhibits must be grown by the exhibitor if entered for a prize.

  • Exhibitors can make only one entry in each class except as groups in Livestock departments.

  • An exhibitor cannot compete in both collection and class except as groups in Livestock departments.

  • All prize premium checks must be cashed within 30 days.

  • No merchandise may be offered for sale unless it is first exhibited for a prize.

  • Where there is only one entry, the Fair Committee reserves the right to pay second money.

  • No bicycle riding between the stage and the arena fence.

  • Each department superintendent will have the option of closing his/her department during judging.
